August 1st, 2024: LEVEL II Punch Needle Workshop @ Purl + Hank
Where: Purl + Hank @ 2063 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB
When: Thursday August 1st, 2024 from 6pm-8pm
What: In this 2 hour intermediate level workshop you will learn how to create different textures with yarn using a #10 Oxford Punch Needle!
This is an intermediate level workshop, and would be a great fit for you if:
You enjoy crafting and pick up new skills quickly.
Have punch needle experience; perhaps you’ve been to my Beginner Workshop, or have a purchased a beginner kit!
Have experience with other yarn crafts and art forms!
** If you have no experience but are keen to come, I will make sure you find this workshop accessible and fulfilling!**

Workshop participants will LEARN:
How to choose yarns to create different textures and looks.
How to leverage the elements and principals of design to create their own unique piece of art.
How to troubleshoot errors and work through design challenges.
** Reminder, you can’t screw this up! Punch Needle is forgiving, that’s why I love it!**
Workshop participants will MAKE:
Whatever they want!
You will be provided with a myriad of yarns in different colours, weights and textures. You will use a 9” Hoop and can explore any shape or design you want within the 2 hour time frame.

Workshop Supplies
100% Wool Yarn in many colours, weights and textures.
Several pieces of Monk’s Cloth to create samples or a few different designs.
Students will borrow a #10 regular Oxford Punch Needle and a 9” No Slip Hoop for the workshop; these items are not to be taken home.
Punch needles and other supplies can be purchased through Brittney after the workshop if desired.
Drinks + Eats:
Brittney will have some Bubbly water and a light snack available if you get snacky :)
*No cancellations or refunds will be taken two weeks prior to the workshop date*
If the minimum number of ticket sales has not been reached, we will contact you to reschedule.
