Host a Workshop

Want to get together with your friends, host an easy icebreaker activity with colleagues? Hosting an event is easy; see below for details.

Why take a workshop?

  • Laugh

It’s fun okay. At first you screw it up, and then you figure it out. And then all of a sudden you are laughing at how fun it is to punch this needle thing into fabric over and over. I’m funny too.

  • Create

There is something kinda magical about making something with your own hands, from scratch. Yeah it’s cheesy, but it’s true okay.

  • Learn

Beginner friendly, simple instructions, quickly build confidence. Ya, you’ll be proud of yourself. I’ll help you dust off your shoulders.

  • Connect

It’s been a crazy couple of years, and workshops are a great way to break the ice while we get social again!

FAQ

How many people can participate?

Workshops can be hosted for up to 15 people. Class minimums are negotiable. Let’s talk!

Where should I host a workshop?

Host a workshop in your home, at your workplace, or choose from one of the many rentable venues in Winnipeg. I can help you choose the perfect spot for your workshop.

How long are workshops?

Workshops can range in time depending on what you would like to make. 2 hour and 3 hour workshops are great for beginners.

What materials and supplies will we use?

All workshop participants will borrow an Oxford Punch Needle. It is my preferred tool, and truly the best for a reason. Cloth and yarn are purchased locally, and either 100% wool or upcycled yarn. I aim to use and support local products and businesses to supply all workshops.

What is the cost?

Cost depends on what you would like to make, how long you would like the workshop to run for and where it will be hosted. Because these factors fluctuate, please reach out to discuss further. There is never any pressure to book when you are inquiring! Use the “book a workshop” button to start the inquiry or booking process!

What else should I know?

The best way to be with a group of people is to share a meal. If not a meal, then drinks and snacks. There are many great vendors, caterers and venues in Winnipeg. I’d love to help you host a well-rounded event!

It was fantastic! Such a great job teaching the art of punchneedle, and visiting with everyone. And the location was perfect as well.

This was a great ‘girls night out’ with 2 good friends. It was such a perfect evening. We learned a new skill, left with a piece of art, and had a great time chatting and snacking. Brittney was a wonderful (and patient!) teacher. Would absolutely recommend.
